Looking for some fun things to do in DeKalb County this week? Look no further! We’ve got a fantastic line-up of events happening across the county, from celebrating recovery to indulging in delicious food for a good cause.

Auburn

 

 

Kicking Off the Weekend Right (September 13th):

  • Celebrate recovery with a fun-filled evening of food, music, and a cornhole tournament at Hearten House’s Summer Shindig (Friday, 5 PM – 8 PM).
  • Calling all Potterheads! Byler Lane Winery is hosting a Harry Potter Trivia Night with a food truck on-site. Team up and test your knowledge (Friday, 6 PM – 8 PM).

 

 

Market Mania & More (September 14th):

  • Start your Saturday with fresh produce and local goodies at the Auburn Farmers Market (Saturday, 7 AM – 1 PM).
  • Score amazing deals on books, movies, and music at the Friends of EPL Book & Media Sale (Saturday, 9 AM – 3 PM). Members get early access at 9 AM!
  • Need to shred some documents? Eckhart Public Library is offering free shredding services on Saturday morning (Saturday, 9 AM – 11 AM).
  • Feeling ruff? Practice your reading skills with a furry friend at Eckhart Public Library’s Dog Tales program (Saturday, 10:30 AM – 11:15 AM).
  • Ready to ignite your main character energy? Join the vibrant Auburn Parks and Recreation Wellness Support Group for a fun and motivating session (Saturday, 2 PM – 3 PM).

 

 

Looking Ahead (September 16th – 19th):

  • Take a trip down memory lane and learn about the history of the DeKalb County Fair at the DeKalb County Indiana Genealogy Society (Monday, 6 PM – 7 PM).
  • Still looking for your wellness fix? The Auburn Parks and Recreation Wellness Support Group has a Monday night session as well (Monday, 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM).
  • The DeKalb Chamber Partnership is hosting a Childhood & Education Community Impact Forum – a great opportunity to learn about the state of education in our community (Tuesday, 9 AM – 10:30 AM). This event is free!
  • Support the Friends of Eckhart Public Library by enjoying a delicious meal at Panda Express during their Dine to Donate event (Tuesday, 10 AM – 10 PM).
  • Find hope and support at The Gathering-Auburn’s Hope for Mental Health support group meeting (Thursday, 6 PM – 8 PM). A free meal is also served.
